THERAPY FOR THERAPISTS
in Dallas, TX
Intelligent, compassionate, effective, and confidential therapy for clinicians
Finding a therapist when it’s what you do for a living can be overwhelming. You need a therapist who will provide more than rudimentary skills, and someone who can help you Level Up. When you work with me…
• You can be messy, and I’ll still hold you with deep respect.
• You can bring your doubts about whether therapy can even help you, and still make improvements.
• Your clinical mind can rest, and your emotional self can lead.
• You won’t have to worry that you “know too much about therapy to be a good client.”
• You can bring complex trauma, burnout, vicarious trauma, or relationship struggles to me, and I'll meet them with attuned, evidence-based care.
Therapy for mental health professionals in Dallas:
As a therapist, you’re used to showing up flawlessly for your clients, and that often translates into your personal life, too. When our clients are breaking down or feeling hopeless, we know how to keep it together and inspire them to keep going. So when do you give yourself the opportunity to manage your stress, deal with heartbreak, or tend to your own pain? Your clients and your friends alike tell you they “don’t know how you do what you do,” and you respond with the same canned answer you always give, while that nagging worry that you’re not really sure you know either needles you in the back of your mind.
I’m no stranger to this perfectionism and imposterism. The amount of vulnerability that I felt even writing this out and offering myself as a resource to other therapists took me over a year to break through, even as I successfully helped many mental health professionals make positive changes in their lives. Eventually, I had to admit to myself that this vulnerability is the exact quality you need from me to help you process on a deep, insider level.
You are a person first.
Before you were a therapist, you were a human. And even if your clients and loved ones think of you as superhuman, you are still human! You have your own nervous system, attachment patterns, dreams, and grief. I can help you return to that essential self. Meeting with me won’t be about performance, getting (or providing!) supervision, or proving your insight or strength to me. Together we can figure out how you can reclaim your relationship with your inner world, your body, your creativity, and your rest.
What therapy with me looks like:
I bring a trauma-informed, sex-positive, and LGBTQ+ affirming lens to my work. I am discerning and discreet. One of my superpowers is that I can help you see the forest for the trees. We may use EMDR, parts work, mindfulness, or just plain, grounded presence, depending on what you need. My style is warm, collaborative, and deeply respectful of the complexity you bring as a clinician seeking therapy.
Many of the therapists I work with are navigating high-functioning burnout, attachment wounds, relational or behavioral patterns they’re ready to shift, or even addictions. Most are struggling with imposterism and perfectionism that’s preventing them from personal fulfillment. Others come to see me because they just want a space where they don’t have to be on or taking care of someone else. Whether you're seeking support for therapist burnout or just need a confidential safe space, I can help.
You don’t have to do it all yourself.
You give so much of yourself every day in your career and in your personal life. If only you could hire yourself! You deserve care that’s just for you. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner, a newer therapist, or still in school, if something inside you is saying, I think I need this, that’s worth listening to.
